Freak - Lyric Music Video

Lyric Music videos feature on-screen lyrics, providing viewers with engaging visuals without the need for videography production. This enables artists to express their creativity through visuals, resulting in a stronger connection with their audience.

I will use an iterative design process to make a typographic video that shows what the verse and chorus of the song are all about. By giving careful thought to typography, images, and motion, I will create an interesting series that effectively conveys the song’s narrative message.

A world where individuality thrives amidst the control of mainstream media. It’s a place where being a ‘Freak’ isn’t a label, but a badge of honor, representing authenticity and rebellion against social norms. The lyric video serves as a visual journey through this landscape, where raw emotion and unfiltered expression reign supreme. By embracing Brutalism, the design strips away the gloss of traditional styles, opting instead for a rough, honest portrayal that mirrors the song’s message. Each frame captures the essence of opposition, encouraging people to embrace their inner “Freak” and enjoy how beautiful it is to be yourself without worrying about what other people think.

I have used Proxima Nova for its clean and modern look. The use of this font gives the visual presentation a sense of professionalism. This choice really brings out a raw feeling, and can be seen as rebelling against social norms.
